Safestyle is the largest independent company in the UK that provides top-quality, affordable uPVC double-glazed windows, doors, French doors and sliding patio doors. Safestyle UK was established on 1992, and last year the company installed over £100 million of replacement windows and doors in domestic properties, a fantastic testimony to the quality of the product and the standard of service that the company provides.
Comtel has been working very closely with Style Group for the past couple of years and has developed several business applications for them. Below are few of the applications that have been developed for Style Group.

 IFS: The purpose of the system was to track the service queries from customers after installation of their products. Safe Style offers a guarantee of 10 years on their products. The system tracks the details of the calls from the customers, and then these are forwarded to the respective department for resolution. It tracks inventory details in case any equipment is required for resolution of the call. When a call is logged in the system based on the type of the call the call is forwarded to the respective department. If an engineer visit is required (which is true in most of the cases), the same is done through a scheduler and the said schedule is passed on to the engineer’s hand held device. Once the call is resolved the same is updated in the system from the engineer’s hand held.
This application is now the backbone of Safe Style’s Service Department. Earlier they were using legacy applications for different processes and were even maintaining their data in excel. This application has benefited Safe Style by:

1. Efficient handling of customer requests and resolution scheduling
2. Management and analyses of customer requests
3. Synchronization of activity within departments, such as Customer Care, Service, Accounts, Fensa, 0-28 etc.
4. Monitoring, sharing, and tracking of information throughout the organization
5. Synchronization of call log entry, quote processing, and reporting

In all it has helped them by providing better customer support.

Sales Order Processing System: SOP takes care of the orders which are received by fax/email etc. Interfacing is done with their existing MRP and Accounting application. With the MRP this system retrieves the details of the costing and then checks with the accounting application for the credit limit of the customer. Based on this data is again send back to MRP for production processing and also certain information are emailed/faxed to the customer from this application. Delivery of the finished product is also scheduled from this application by a scheduler.

IFS Service Power Integration: Service Power is a leading software for job scheduling. It uses state of art schedule optimization algorithm for jobs based on geographical locations and engineer availability. Service Power communicates with other software(in this case IFS & Mobile Application) through Web Services. This projects involve the changes in IFS with respect to the Service Power as well as design & development of Interface between Service Power and IFS as well as mobile application.

Stock Management System: SMS manages the information regarding the inventory of components used for manufacturing. It captures data at GRN level (The GRN is produced at accounting software CODA, SMS extracts data from CODA through Windows Service) and handles all Issues, Return and Stock adjustments. The application provided basec reports like stock level, Issue register etc as well as MIS reports on stock valuation, stock history etc.

 Fitter Wage: Fitterwage is wage processing software for the fitters who work for Safestyle on weekly wage basis. The software is capable of storing all master information like Insurance Details, docking, Wage percentage etc which is used for wage processing. The application exchanges data with IFS, Payroll System and Financial Accounting System.

 Ellite Telican: Elitetelecan  is commission processing software for the tele-canvassers  who generate leads  for Safestyle. The software exchanges data with Contract Regestartion system and process commission based on complex business rules. The process data is exchanged with Payroll system.
